IYEP is the national office of the Experiment in International Living EIL which is a twenty-one member countries autonomously administered in each country. The Experiment was established in 1932 in Vermont USA to promote peace and Understanding through cultural exchanges.

The Federation EIl is recognized by the United Nations as a Peace messenger and the Council of Europe.
